Old Antique Vintage Tatty Invicta Teddy BearIvor is a dear old vintage antique teddy bear who is about 15 inches tall, and 10 inches seated. He is a charming, tatty old bear with a serious look about him. I believe he was born in the early 1950s, but he could be older. He still has the distinguishing look of an Invicta bear, even though he has obviously been loved to bits ! He has appealing amber and black glass eyes, and a hand stitched nose and mouth. He is straw filled throughout his head, and his torso and limbs look to be filled with kapok. Ivor is fully jointed with good joint connections for his age, they are nice and tight. He has a sparse and patchy covering of plush with age related marks and visible seams and stitch work all over. This is especially noticeable on his back, to the back of one ear and at his lower joints. He certainly is a tatty old boy! His paws are made of a brown rexine type material . They are scuffed and have cracked at the seams. His filling is showing through the gaps so he may need some TLC there, though the filling is held in place – not pouring out at all, so could be left as is. All this being said, Ivor holds himself together as best he can… like any old English chappy. He is no longer suitable as a toy. He is a collectors item only.
