Nelson – Rare Miniature Steiff Bear – Tiny Old Antique Mohair Teddy – Glass Eyes
Nelson, is a scarce old Steiff teddy bear, made in Germany probably sometime around the 1920-40s period.
He stands a tiny 13 centimetres tall and comes dressed in his white naval jacket.
He’s in lovely condition with virtually no loss of mohair and he also still has his original orange & black eyes, which are only around 5mm diameter.
As he’s so small that he was made with no pads on his hands or feet, but he does have a slightly shaved muzzle and his original horizontal nose stitching. His chest is so little that his squeaker was inserted sideways, sadly this no longer works and he has lost his ear button.
His joints are all tight and work as they should.
All in all he is a truly wonderful little bear in excellent condition and would be a great addition to any hug, as would his Granny, Prudence, who is pictured with him and for sale seperately.
