What a character! This great old chimpanzee has wonderful amber and black glass eyes in his felt face with felt ears and felt hands with stitched fingers and separate thumb. His body is a glove puppet made of long brown mohair with short arms and a tube up into his head for your fingers. He has a firm stuffed head and his chin has white mohair beneath his rolled felt lip. He gives no clues as to who made him, but is probably German and dates from about the 1930’s. He is 23cm (9″) tall. International buyers please contact me for postage costs.
