The advice I have been given is that this is either a “Merrythought” or a “Chiltern” made dog nightdress case C. 1920`s.
It has a mohair coat & the stuffing is wood wool.
It has its original glass eyes & face stitching & the zip is still working although a little stiff.
There is some thinning of the fur in the most handled places (side of nose & legs) but is otherwise in really great condition for its age.
It measures approx. 19″ (48cms) from nose to tip of tail.
