Hello & Welcome….
This is a wonderful teddy bear by Hermann Spielwaren, from the varied range of bears they made over the years celebrating famous historical figures. This bear commemorates the life of William Shakespeare, possibly the worlds most famous English writer and playwright. He is made in a lovely golden mohair and stands at approximately 45cm / 18 inches tall. He is fully jointed and is quite firmly stuffed. His right paw pad is embroidered with his name and dates, with his left paw pad being embroidered with the famous quote “To be, or not to be, that is the question”. He is complete with his robe, hat, paper certificate and comes with growler. This looks like the earlier 2002/03 version with the beard, rather than the more recent 2014 version.
