This gorgeous little 1920’s Farnell bunny is Wilfred, from Pip, Squeak and Wilfred, the long running British strip cartoon that appeared in the Daily Mirror, and also in the Sunday Pictorial in the early years..
He is made from a short pile mohair, which is in good condition with very little mohair loss.
He is sat on his haunches. The legs are not jointed but his little arms are.
He has brown boot button eyes. I’m not sure if these are original or not, but it’s how I got him, and they suit him perfectly.
He is straw filled throughout, and measures approx 10 inches high (excluding ears) His long floppy ears measure 6″ long.
Always popular with collectors, he’s a lovely little chap, in good clean condition.
