Very interesting and rare to find Teddy Baby of German or Austrian origin, dating from late 1930s-1940s,
made of brown sheepskin,
stuffed with wood-wool throughout the body and head,
fully jointed,
has got clear and black glass eyes with brown enamel backs,pronounced muzzle with open mouth, mouth lined with pink leather,
original moulded gutta-percha? nose,
original suede pads, feet reinforced with cardboard,
no claws stitching,
has got small tail.
Teddy Bear is approx. 13 1/2″ (34 cm) tall.
Condition – item is in antique condition with slight general wear, small split to final seam at the back; head joint a bit loose, but still secure.
