Doris | 14″ c1930’s Old Vintage German Teddy Bear w/ growler
This is Doris. She is a fully jointed vintage Diem teddy bear made in Germany measuring 14 inches tall.
She dates to the c1930’s is stuffed with woodwool, with stitched nose and claw stitching, painted back glass eyes, felt pads and card lined feet. She also has a working very funny high pitched growler.
She is covered in a biscuit mohair which has been lost mainly on her legs previously!! She was likely an important family member, and then given this lovely vintage tartan dress so she’s ready to go chatter with her ted friends of the hug.
This old ted is now just patiently waiting for that special gap in a hug to go squeeze into.
She can be seen here with her fellow German friends she used to live with, who are also now listed separately.
