~ Cecily – Wonderful Old loved 1900’s Farnell Mohair Teddy Bear – Antique clothes
This delicate little lady is Cecily! She’s a loved and adored Teddy Bear made by the British company Farnell somewhere around early 1900’s to 1920’s.
She stands around 13.5 inches tall and is stuffed with woodwool and kapok. She is fully jointed and has a lovely weight to her. She has a growler in her tum which I don’t think is working but I’ve not wanted to do the teddy shake with her to try and release it, it doesn’t sound rattley so she may find her voice again in time to come.
She has recovered felt pads, stitched nose and mouth and retains her wonderful original boot button eyes!!!
As mentioned Cecily is a delicate little lady and likes to reside gracefully in her delicate antique dress.
I personally have a soft spot for old, loved and treasured teds. I can imagine she has been on many adventures with her previous owner, but sadly now has been left behind and needs a new owner to love her.
