A wonderful pair who have been together for many many years and are looking for a new home – they have been with one lady all her life but she has sadly passed on leaving them homeless and very scared :-(. The Chiltern is absolutely beautiful, born in the 30’s, and has retained his amazing colour over the years – he retains about 70% of his mohair with some patchy areas. He is 15 inches tall, fully jointed and woodwool stuffed with a non-working growler. His pads are all original linen – intact but show signs of age – one hand curves outwards slightly where he has clearly been carried all those years ago by a child. He has his original nose and mouth stitching – not sure of his eyes are original – they are old glass. Doggie is made of artsilk and is rather thin and wobbly on his feet – he does stand – but ted looks after him well and they really need to stay together – as you can see they look lovely together.
Please be aware I am a lover of the tattier old teds with oodles of character so bear this mind before buying – no bear will be perfect – far from it – but I guarantee they are all perfectly adorable. I try to list every bear accurately – if there is anything I forget I can only apologise – I try to put plenty of photos up so please take a good look as these form part of the description. I happily post overseas but anything over 40 in value HAS to be tracked hence overseas postage may seem a lot – if postage is less than quoted I will happily refund the difference.
