A beautiful smocked satin baby dress which probably dates to the 30’s/40’s -it is in a heavy satin which drapes beautifully. There is a lightly embossed floral pattern to the dress – very subtle – & it is in a pearlescent ivory colour. It is 23 inches long by 7.5 inches across the yoke & is shown on my portly 20 inch bear to give an idea of size. There are small areas of discolouration so it is not perfect – they are not terribly noticeable unless you look – & if displayed on an old doll or bear would be fine. The dress is just lovely – even with these faults – but please do not buy if you are looking for perfection xxx
