This charming Vintage Mohair Teddy Bear called “Samuel” dates to around 1930 – 1950 or thereabouts.I am uncertain as to his Maker, but those with more knowledge than myself will know at a glance.Samuel measures approximately 19.5 inches high and weighs around 791 grams.He is jointed-his head moves as do his legs but he has more limited movement to his arms-one of his circular cardboard joints is slightly visible through a small hole.
He has orange and black eyes, a dog type nose and a hand stitched mouth.Under his chin there is a stitched label, but this is worn and so I am unable to make anything out to give me a clue as to Samuel’s Maker.He has I believe rexine pads and these, together with his fur, has some wear and rubbing.He has a growler, although this is not particularly loud.Considering that he is around 80 years old I consider him to be in good vintage condition, with any signs of wear being commensurate with age and normal use.

Samuel has been very well loved and will look wonderful amongst any Teddy Bear collection.
