This gorgeous early 1950’s Schuco Tricky ‘Yes/No’ teddy bear has ‘lived’ in a private collection for some years and he was so prized by his former owner, she had a custom made chimney sweep outfit made for him, as you see in some of the photographs.
This suit, which includes black top hat, sweep brush, shirt, waistcoat, trousers and adorable antique leather boots – really was tailor made for this lovely bear, and like the bear, it is in very good condition. The bear’s yes/no mechanism, operated by his tail, is in excellent working order.
You will also see in one of the final photographs that this special teddy bear made an appearance in the Judith Miller Teddy Guide, although the written reference gets his size and colour wrong!
