1939 Chad Valley Teddy With A Story. BEAR as he was known, was bought as war broke out in the September of 1939. He was said to be the last bear in the shop when bought for little Ann of Newmarket by her father. Now a proud octogenarian who survived the turmoils of WW2, through rationing and air-raids he held tight to Anns hand and still lives to tell the tale!…. BEAR has alpaca wool fur, original amber glass eyes and a Chad Valley label on his left foot! Condition is Used. He is 20 inches tall and has some general wear to his body and pads. please see pics!
